Rhubarb

My rhubarb is really taking off!  Can’t wait to make that first rhubarb pie of the season. Yum! (It’s surrounded by a little spearmint in this photo.)

    I have never had the pie. But the picture of rhubarb is beautiful. Are these your plants? they look really healthy. You must have a green thumb as they say. fun blog \’expectations\’, I enjoy flying around to all your highlites, it makes the blog very interesting. Happy cultivating.

    Nice to hear from you Jossie! Yes, this is my own personal rhubarb plant. I finally took a plant from my Dad\’s row of rhubarb last year. I sort of crowded it in among other things so I\’m happy to see it coming back nice and strong this year. I think the reason it looks so good is a few weeks ago I covered it with some of my compost – that stuff is really great! Glad you find the links interesting, too. I like to provide some context for people. :-) ~ B

    *gasp!*that picture of rhubarb is gorgeous!!!i remember waaay back when i DIDN\’T live in l.a….we had rhubard growing wild in our backyard – weeds of sorts. haha!uh, yeah, i can\’t wait for your first rhubarb pie either :)
