Copper River Kings Arrive This Week!

15-May-2005

Monday the Copper River King Salmon fishing opens.  If you know anything about salmon, you know this is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year!  Copper River Kings are renowned for their firm, oily, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth flesh and are wonderful simply grilled in the oven or on a barbecue.  You should start seeing them around Seattle on Tuesday – both in restaurants and at your local fish counter at places like Metropolitan Market or the Pike Place stalls.

What a beautiful Space! So bright and professional! I\’m not a culinary expert though. I really am the fool.I\’m leaving my email address because I want to know how you included images in the middle of a blog entry. I did it by accident one time, but I don\’t remember how it happened and I can\’t make it work again.I did change a font though, by cutting and pasting in some text. I think the text is either times new roman or garmond, but the only way I\’ve made that work again is by copying that text to a new entry screen and then deleting all but the first few words and then going on to type my new entry. Then I went back and changed the first few words.Computers and these Spaces are so wonderful — if only I could figure them out better!

Karen:Interestingly enough, even though you left your email it doesn\’t show up for me. :-) I think spaces people are still working out some things…. My email is at the very bottom of the page so why don\’t you send me your email that way. In the meantime, you can also start with this information: http://spaces.msn.com/members/siteexperts/Blog/cns!1pNcL8JwTfkkjv4gg6LkVCpw!147.entryIt will tell you how to add an "Edit It" button to your toolbar which will give you some control over your fonts. The photo part is a more manual process and you will need this edit it button installed for the instructions that I will give you to work. ~ B

I\’m so glad you responded to my first comment on your space. I\’ll write back to you at your email address if I have any more questions or to let you know how I\’m getting along with my space.I was really tired when I peeked into your site last night, but I will be looking around a lot more. This is the first great site I have come across. I wonder if I even wrote in my email address the last time because I was so sleepy, but I KNOW I put it in this time. We\’ll see if it works.

Thanks much for your kind comments, Karen! :-) If you look at my list of cooking/food blogs you\’ll find some other spaces sites and those, in turn, will point to other good sites. The email thing isn\’t anything you did wrong – it\’s that spaces doesn\’t show it. I think it\’s used if there isn\’t a url entered in this comment form. Email me and let me know how it goes! ~ B

Just a quick comment on the Copper River Salmon – I highly recommend the simply grilled CRS at Cascadia. Had it last night. Yum.
