Mini-Champagne

Around the holidays I noticed a cute little 4-pack of champagne at my local Costco.   The box contained four splits and four "glasses".  I had a couple of potential uses in mind but never quite got around to using them.  So, as I headed off on my mini-San Juan Island adventure, I decided to take one with me for sipping in my room or out on the deck outside the room. 

When I opened the pack of "glasses" I found these funky little plastic funnels meant to be snapped into the bottles!  What will they think of next?  With a bit of trepidation I decided to try it out.  The plastic funnel snaps into the neck of the bottle forming what passes for a champagne flute.  :-)  It actually works pretty well, much to my amazement.  I took my handy-dandy flute and retired to my deck overlooking one of the lakes on the property and watched the bats swooping down to catch a few bugs for dinner.
